2026 TCAL Championships Info
Good evening,
I just received Champs info and wanted to get it out ASAP. I will send more info about the Pataskala meet tomorrow.
Attached to this email you will find warm-up assignments, the meet packet, and parent info packet. Please read it all carefully, but I will highlight the important info. I also have a TCAL meeting on Sunday and I will send out any last-minute or additional information.
AM (11& up) session:
Please arrive by 6:50 am. Warm-ups at 7:00-7:10 am in lanes 1-6. You do not want to miss warm ups! The meet starts at 7:45 am. The timers meeting is at 7:25 am by the slides. The diving well is open for warm-up & cool down in this session only.
PM (10 & under) session:
Please arrive by 2:00. Warm-ups are 2:10-2:20 in lanes 1-6. You do not want to miss warm ups! The meet starts at 3:10 pm. This session operates a bullpen. Please look at the parent packet for traffic flow into the bullpen (it is the same as last year). They are using lane chutes to help organize swimmers. Swimmers should be dropped off to the chutes then the parent/escort should leave the bullpen area. We still need 5 volunteers for this session.
General Info:
- Please note the parking information in the parent packet.
- Teams are assigned a "Team Camp". The map is in the parent packet. There will be signs indicating "GFF". If you arrive before me, please ensure there is space for the Fighting Fish tent. It looks like it is in a similar area as last year.
- Coolers are permitted, but absolutely no glass or alcoholic beverages. Smoking & vaping is also prohibited.
- No spectators are permitted behind the starting blocks or in the bullpen.
- There is no bullpen for 11 & up swimmers and swimmers are encouraged to report to the blocks several heats in advance.
- There will be concessions and food trucks (listed in the parent packet)
- Fine Designs will be on site with custom meet apparel. They will also have a 2026 TCAL champs t-shirt for $25.
- There is no "saving seats" in the VIP spectator area. These are for watching a specific race and then leaving to permit others to watch the next race.
- The 10-day forecast looks great (fingers crossed!), but in the event of stormy weather, families may be asked to wait in cars.
- Locker rooms are for meet participants only. This is for swimmer safety. Restrooms and port-a-johns are available for spectators.
I think that is it for now! If you have specific questions that don't seem to be answered in any of the information provided, please let me know before Sunday so I can ask at the league meeting.
Thank you,
Rachel
