Meet Results & Week of 6/21 Info
GFF Families -
We had another great meet yesterday! GFF won 655 to 113. There were 144 improved times! Granville told me multiple times how much they love swimming at our pool and how well-run the meet was.
New Record - 9-10 boys Medley Relay (Jack Kibler, Henry Pratt, Grayson Dekle, Gavin Samad)
Swimmers of the Week - Harper Hummel, Penelope Carrish, Lila Voss, and Andy Pierson. Make sure you pick up your GFF water bottle!
Next week - Our final home meet will be against Baltimore. Entries will again be 2 individual and 2 relays. We will be recognizing our senior swimmers at this meet as well. At this time, there is still a 2nd half head timer and bullpen job open. Please declare your swimmer(s) attendance ASAP. Swimmers not declared will not be entered into the meet.
Concessions - We determine points for concession donations based on approximately how much the items donated cost (in comparison to the volunteer fee). We keep all donations to sell at the next concession stand, give perishable items to the lifeguards, and keep candy/other treats that don't sell for Family Fun Night. We want you to take your crockpots & coolers home, but we do keep the donated items since you received credit for your donation.
Tear Down - I had several people on tear-down crew yesterday that did not sign in and I could not confirm that they helped with tear down. Please ensure that you sign in and check with me or my husband Tony that everything is done before you leave. Many hands make light work, especially when trying to get everything cleaned up in a timely manner. Special shout out to Jessica M. & Rachel H. for staying to help until our cars were loaded!
Picture Orders - I have had several people ask for pictures. I will let you know when I receive them.
Raffle - Congrats to Rowan Botbyl for winning the raffle!
Champs Jobs - Champs jobs are worth double volunteer credit. GFF was assigned timing and awards at Champs. If you previously signed up for a job at Champs, please ensure you are signed up for the correct session. 11 & up swim in the AM and the 10 & under swim in the PM. If you would like to request a job (timing - best view of the pool) or awards (in the air conditioning), please email me to let me know which you prefer. We still have 5 jobs per session available. If you do not have all of your volunteer credits, a job at Champs will fulfill your credits for the season. These jobs are separate from officials. The league really appreciates officials who volunteer their time to make the best summer league Championships very successful. If you are a TCAL official and would like to volunteer your time at Champs, please fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScqdtDhUvh5moKTDmDJSeuD83NbdfZ3giBu3cp2uKAmsLQ3oQ/viewform
Just a reminder that our team and league run entirely on volunteer power! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who goes above and beyond their required volunteer credits. Your extra time and effort are exactly what make us the best team in the league!
Have a great week!
