GFF Families - 

What an amazing showing from all of our GFF swimmers at the first meet! GFF scored 910 points to Canal's 257 & Logan's 79! The meet results are attached. The awards box will be at practice Monday for swimmers to pick up their ribbons!

New Records: 9-10 boys medley relay with Arpan Regmi, Joey Smith, Henry Pratt, Josiah Caro, 15-18 Women's Medley Relay with Khloè Norman, Maya Keane, Harper Hummel, Payton VanMeter, Henry Pratt in the 9-10 boys Individual Medley, Gavin Samad in the 9-10 boys 25 freestyle, Yaseer Owens in the 9-10 boys 50 freestyle, Henry Pratt in the 9-10 boys 25 breaststroke, Arpan Regmi in the 9-10 boys 25 butterfly, 9-10 boys freestyle relay with Jack Kibler, Gavin Samad, Arpan Regmi, Yaseer Owens, and our Men's 15-18 freestyle relay with Collin Hart, CJ Wolfe, Taze Owens, Palmer Hamilton beat their previous record set at Champs last year. Congrats to all!

A few reminders from our coaches: 

• If you know your swimmer will not be attending the meet and you had previously entered them, send an email to [email protected] as soon as you know they will not be attending. Coaches do not always have their phones or check their phones during warm-ups or the meet. Last minutes relay changes are really difficult to make, so the earlier we know, the better! 
• If your child is not warming up, please still be in attendance at least 15 minutes before the start of the meet as they may be needed in last minute relay changes. 
• We want to see good sportsmanship! Swimmers should stay in the water until the last swimmer in their heat finishes. It is appropriate to fist bump or tell the swimmer in the lane next to you "Good job!" 

From our officials: 

• There is absolutely no cameras/filming/cell phone use permitted behind the blocks. This is a USA Swimming SafeSport rule. 

Our next meet is next Saturday (June 13) and it is at home. Home meets take significantly more volunteers. We are still in need of 1 more bullpen worker. I will post concession donations as soon as I get the list. Please declare your swimmer's attendance ASAP! This is a very quick turnover and coaches need to start working on entries. Any notes for the coaches about events can be left when you declare. 

Raffle Tickets - If you haven't picked up your raffle tickets yet, I will be putting them in the awards box at practice on Monday. You should have received 25 total tickets. Put your name/phone number on all tickets (do not keep any part) and return. The drawing will be on June 20. 

Swimmers of the Week: Wyatt Garn, Lucca Rose, Jocelyn Webber, and Evan Chandavong. Make sure you pick up your Fighting Fish water bottle!
